The 2007 Oxford word of the year is "locavore", a word coined by 4 women in San Francisco who are committed to eating only food grown or produced within a 100 mile radius.Since this movement is about consumption and reducing environmental impact (shipping over long distance requires more fuel) and I consume a fair amount of beer, I've decided to be a "beer locavore".
After a 2008 in which I drank only beer brewed within a 100 mile radius of where I was standing or barstool sitting (with occasional slip-ups), I will transform to being locavore-friendly in 2009.

Have you tried the Allagash Four? My friend Ryan told me about it: four kinds of hops, four fermentations, four of I don't know what else...
Sounds intriguing.
Thanks for adding me to your blogs of note; now I feel the pressure to add content with some kind of regularity (I put up a movie of a new song today).
Yes! See my new post.
