The 2007 Oxford word of the year is "locavore", a word coined by 4 women in San Francisco who are committed to eating only food grown or produced within a 100 mile radius.Since this movement is about consumption and reducing environmental impact (shipping over long distance requires more fuel) and I consume a fair amount of beer, I've decided to be a "beer locavore".
After a 2008 in which I drank only beer brewed within a 100 mile radius of where I was standing or barstool sitting (with occasional slip-ups), I will transform to being locavore-friendly in 2009.

I was at the Stadium last night, and though the selection is limited I learned that all drafts are $2 during happy hour all week long.
On another note, two or three places I went to yesterday had a tap dedicated to Brooklyn Lager. What the hell is the point of that?
I mean they still had their lite-shits on draft so it was just taking a place that could have been dedicated to an ale. I'm also unhappy about the way places seem to need to have more than one brown ale with limited taps.
Great tip on teh Stadium, I'll try it!
I agree that many places offer the same beer over and over. It's a shame. Variety is the spice of life.
